Viridian Art takes ongoing applications for studio assistants and teacher positions at both our Agoura Hills and Tarzana locations.

We also offer opportunities to join our offsite enrichment team at many local schools.

LEAD INSTRUCTOR - ON-CAMPUS ART ENRICHMENT

(on location at schools either in Thousand Oaks - Calabasas or Encino - Woodland Hills)

Strong people skills and experience working with children are a MUST.
Prior teaching experience either in a school or studio setting.
Must be comfortable leading a lesson in a group setting. Will have another instructor to assist.
Must have experience working with drawing and painting materials.
Communicate with studio owners who will provide lesson plans.
Part-time shifts - must be available for afternoon work at least a few days a week, option to work weekend hours in studio.
Must have reliable transportation and show up on time.
Show up prepared to set up your space and teach with a positive attitude.
Must be extremely organized and responsible and able to problem solve on the spot when needed.
This is a commitment for the duration of the school year. There are often days off between sessions and over holidays.

ASSISTANT - ON-CAMPUS ART ENRICHMENT

Must be comfortable assisting students and taking direction from the lead instructor.
Must have experience working with drawing and painting materials.
Part-time shifts - must be available for afternoon work at least a few days a week, option to work weekend hours in studio.
Must have reliable transportation and show up on time.
Show up prepared to assist in setting up the classroom space.

Help with drop-in art and art retail as needed.
This is a commitment for the duration of the school year. Year round opportunities available to help with Winter and Summer Camps and more.

STUDIO INSTRUCTOR - AGOURA/WOODLAND HILS LOCATIONS

Prior teaching experience either in a school or studio setting.
Must be comfortable leading a lesson in a group setting. Will work in tandem with at least one additional instructor/assistant.
Must have experience working with drawing and painting materials.
Part-time shifts - must be available for afternoon work at least a few days a week, option to work weekend hours in studio.
Must have reliable transportation and show up on time.
Show up prepared to help set up the studio and teach with a positive attitude.
Must be extremely organized and responsible and able to problem solve on the spot when needed.

STUDIO LEAD INSTRUCTOR - AGOURA/WOODLAND HILLS LOCATIONS

Have your own class you'd like to propose adding to our schedule? We are always looking for unique classes to add to our line-up. Must fall outside the realm of what we teach in our core classes. Prior experience leading your own classes is required!

STUDENT VOLUNTEERS - AGOURA/WOODLAND HILLS LOCATIONS

Are you a local high school art student looking to volunteer and log some hours in real art studio environment? We have converted many of our volunteer assistants to paid employees. This is a great way to get your foot in the door if teaching/creating art is something you wish to pursue.
