LEAD ART INSTRUCTOR - ON SCHOOL CAMPUS - ENCINO/TARZANA AREA

Viridian Art is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable Lead Art Instructor to teach engaging curriculum school art classes at a local elementary school. This is a mostly part-time position that’s perfect for someone who loves working with children, enjoys being creative, and can confidently lead a classroom.
Responsibilities

Lead fun, hands-on art classes for elementary aged students.

Maintain a positive, welcoming, and organized environment.
-
Follow our curriculum while bringing enthusiasm to each lesson.

Set up and clean up art materials before and after class.
-
Manage student behavior with kindness, consistency, and confidence.

Communicate professionally with school staff and the Viridian Art team.
-
Ensure all students have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Qualifications
-
Experience teaching or working with children.
-
Background in art, education, child development, or a related field preferred.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.
-
Friendly, energetic, and reliable.
-
Comfortable working independently and representing our company on campus.
-
Must pass any required background checks and meet school district requirements.
Schedule
-
Approximately 22-25 hours spread over 4-5 days. Will work on schedule with you.

Work hours between 8AM-3PM however shifts vary on different days of the week.

No shifts during school holidays and special events.
-
May have opportunities to pick up studio shifts during those times.
Compensation

Competitive hourly pay based on experience.

P/T EXPERIENCED CERAMICS INSTRUCTOR - WOODLAND HILLS STUDIO
Viridian Art is seeking a ceramics instructor to teach Saturday AM classes. Could lead to additional shifts as we grow and expand our ceramics program.
Looking for ceramics teachers for pottery classes for Kids and Adults. Must have advanced wheel-throwing and hand-building skills, and knowledge of glaze and glaze application is required.
In addition to class time, instructors are involved in planning, set-up, and clean up/maintenance of the ceramics studio.
Role and Responsibilities

Wheel throwing, surface design, glazing
-
Responsible for assisting with kiln loading/unloading
-
Setup before, and breakdown/cleanup after each class
-
Keep ceramics studio clean and organized
-
Provide instruction through varied demonstration processes
-
Assist individual students as needed
Other Duties/Responsibilities Required

Qualifications and Requirements:

A portfolio showing a range of work

Pottery and ceramics experience

Experience in a teaching environment

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Live within a reasonable distance to our Woodland Hills studio location
P/T ASSISTANT - ON-CAMPUS ART ENRICHMENT (TUES/THURS EARLY AFTERNOON)
(on location at schools in Agoura Hills/Oak Park area)

Strong people skills and experience working with children are a MUST.

Prior experience either in a school or studio setting preferred.

Must be comfortable assisting students and taking direction from the lead instructor.

Must have experience working with drawing and painting materials.
-
Part-time shifts - must be available for afternoon work at least a few days a week, option to work weekend hours in studio.

Must have reliable transportation and show up on time.
-
Show up prepared to assist in setting up the classroom space.

Problem solving skills and a positive attitude are required.

This is a commitment for the duration of the school year. There are often days off between sessions and over holidays.
