Summer camps come in all shapes and sizes- and at Viridian Art, we’ve intentionally designed ours to meet kids where they are creatively, socially, and developmentally.
Some children thrive in full-day themed camps packed with variety and imagination. Others are looking for immersive, skill-focused workshops where they can really dive into a passion like ceramics, portrait drawing, crafting, sewing, anime drawing, or digital art.
That’s why we offer several different summer formats across our Woodland Hills and Agoura Hills studios- so families can choose the experience that feels like the best fit for their child.
Themed Art Camp Weeks (Ages 5–12)
Flexible, playful, creativity-packed summer fun
Our themed summer art camps are designed for younger artists who love variety, imagination, and hands-on creativity. Each week introduces a new theme with projects spanning drawing, painting, sculpting, mixed media, and more.
Some of this summer’s themes include:
Glowcean Wonders
Adopt-a-Pet Rescue
Zootopia Animal City
Things That Fly
Graffiti & Grooves
Create the Menu
These summer art camps are intentionally flexible for busy summer schedules:
10am-2pm Full week OR pick-and-choose days
3:30pm Extended day option available through Crafternoons
extend it to 5:30pm with our late afternoon camps
Great for siblings and friend groups
A balanced mix of structure and creative freedom
These art camps are especially great for kids who:
Love trying lots of different materials
Enjoy imaginative themes
Want a social, playful camp experience
Are newer to art classes
Multi-Day Camps (Ages 7–14)
Immersive projects for kids who want to go deeper
Our multi-day summer art camps are more workshop-style and project-focused. Instead of many smaller projects, students spend several days developing larger creative pieces and building more advanced skills.
This summer’s immersive camps include:
Ceramics -5 days
Character Design -3 days
Sculpting -2 days
Piñata Party -2 days
Mini-World Designers -3 days
These camps are ideal for kids and teens who:
Love detailed projects
Enjoy working more independently
Want to strengthen artistic skills
Prefer focused, immersive experiences
Many students leave these art camps feeling incredibly proud of what they created because they’ve had the time and space to really develop their ideas.
Afternoon Specialty Camps (Kids, Tweens & Teens)
For creative kids who “aren’t really camp kids”
One of our favorite offerings each summer is our week long afternoon workshop series designed especially for older kids, tweens, and teens.
These late afternoon camps feel more like creative intensives than traditional camp experiences. They’re ideal for students who want structure, social connection, and creativity-but may have outgrown traditional summer camps. These camps are a great way to add some structure in to your summer.
Afternoon camps are 3:30-5:30pm for 5 days. Early drop off option to join for Crafternoons at 2:00pm

Love the studio environment
Why Art Matters
Summer art experiences do more than simply keep kids busy.
Art helps children:
Build confidence and perseverance
Strengthen fine motor skills
Practice problem-solving
Stay imaginative and curious
Make meaningful friendships
Slow down and stay present in a fast-paced world
Creative spaces also give kids something many families are craving more of:
real-life, hands-on experiences away from constant screen time.
At Viridian Art, we believe creativity deserves both freedom and skill-building. Our programs are designed to help students feel capable, inspired, and proud of what they create.
Finding the Right Fit
Not every child wants the same type of summer- and that’s okay.
Some kids want paint-covered mornings and playful themes. Some want immersive ceramics projects. Some want anime drawing, sewing machines, or stop motion animation.
The goal is finding the creative environment where your child feels excited to show up.
And that’s exactly what we aim to create at Viridian Art.
